Stewardship Committee (2006) Committee: Chairman; Don Dantz, Vice Chairman; Janet Manktelow, Marc Blankenberg, Val Gendron, Ellie Giles, Jim Hixson, Lynette McTigue, Phil Opdycke, Deb Trombino, Ed Wheeler. The responsibility of the Stewardship Committee is to obtain the congregation’s financial and talent support for serving the church. There were great challenges this year with the absence of a permanent pastor. The congregation, faithfully, kept their pledges up to date. More members remembered to add on the Per Capita pledge of $41. The Stewardship Committee will continue to encourage members to pay the Per Capita fee above and beyond their planned pledge. This year the committee produced a devotional guide to support the Stewardship campaign. Six members of the congregation wrote articles and Pastor Stewart combined these with an appropriate Biblical scripture. These guides were hand delivered by Session and Stewardship Committee members. We have received 127 pledges totaling approximately $121,000. These pledges are a wonderful way to show our congregational devotion to God’s work. In the coming year additional fund-raisers are needed to raise an additional $6000 to reduce our budget deficit. The congregation will be encouraged to take part and to enjoy the increased fellowship these activities will bring. I would like to thank my committee for their work. It is not easy asking for money. The following is an analysis of the pledges for 2007. Received so far for 2007 are 127 pledges totaling $121,213. This averages out to $954.13 per pledging unit. In 2006 it was 127 pledges totaling $115,000 for an average of $905.50. In 2005 it was 131 at $118,000 for an average of $900.76. As a comparison, we received 154 pledges totaling $120,000 in 2003, an average of $779.22 per pledging unit. 2007 Pledge Breakdown
