All the worries and concerns heavy on our hearts were written on the bottom of the canvas.  As we looked where to find relief we painted them on the canvas.  Once the rays of God's light and love arrised, we could blacken the worries away.

After the Nativity mural was created, the congragants wanted to do an Easter story mural.  Shut-ins and in-person painters pridefully created this mural.  This was not a Bible lesson, just a gathering of faith filled fellowship.

Using the same shape in each square, we chose paint colors and designs that conveyed 4 different emotions,  How the Bible helps us wear these emotions,  One person, many emotions.

This faith paint was where we broke up the scripture and each person created their imagry of that portion of the scripture.
Birth of Christ

Twenty-four congragants gathered at home or in person to paint the vaffrious panels that tell the Birth of Christ story.  Each year the congregation ask to hang this mural during Advent thru Epiphany.  Its a reminder of the joy of community.

Finding Hope
Hopeful thoughts were shaped and discussed with each added brush stroke.  The paintings were more free-form and more of a breaking free of the weighty emotions of Covid-19.

The red of the traditional poinsettia symbolizes the blood of Jesus, and the central seeds resemble the crown of thorns he wore upon the cross. These remind us of God's complete love for his creation. The 5 sets of petals appear like the 5 points of the North guiding star. Christmas is very much wrapped up with Easter

‘BREAD OF LIFE’ This phrase fits into our lives in many ways. It is based on the perspective of those speaking it and those hearing the phrase. No matter where and when, the essence of BREAD is elementary in the sustenance of life and spirit.

There are very specific symbols that are shared between the birth of Jesus, the ministry of Christ, and the death of Jesus. These images help us to remember the Christ story.  This project is a remembrance of the symbols shared at both the birth and death of Christ.
