SUPPORT IN WORSHIP
We love when others join in to share the joy of the worship service.  

Volunteer to be on the Worship Team or just to assist in Worship

Usher - Our ushers offer a welcoming presence to all who join us for worship.  They will hand out bulletins and present the offering.  (There is a job description available for all those interested.)
Liturgist - The worship leadership is a joining of our Pastor with a lay person who together lead the worship service.  
Worship Candle Lighting - The light is brought into the sanctuary and taken out into the world with the lighting and extinguishing of the worhsip candles.
Music Contributions - The Worship Team is always looking for folks to enhance the service with song and/or  instruments.
Sanctuary Decorations - Decorations are changed for the various liturgical seasons, to enhance the worship experience and message.
Support the Deacons
Volunteer to be on the Deacon's Team

You are welcome to join us in prayer, home visits, communication outreach, or hospital visits.  This can be done with or without becoming a member of the Deacons's Team.

Assist with home visits and flower delivery
Assist with  communion preparation.  (monthly)
Assist with emergency care, meal delivery and trasnportation as needed

Support the Christian Education Team
Christian Education Team primariyl focuses on the children and youth of our church.  However, there are various studies that are offered for the adults of the Church.

Volunteer to be on the Christian Education Team

Sunday School Leadership - Share in the teaching of the litergy and Biblical experiences
Child Care during Worship - Assist the parents by offering a safe space for their children during worship.  The space at the front of the sanctuary is a specal space dedicated to our small children during the worship services.  Small children are welcomed in the nursery.
Special Holiday Card Making - Assist with the creation of cards that get sent to shut-ins and College bound adults duing Christmas, Easter and Valentines day.
Vacation Bible School - support by offering a leadership role, or a supportive role for the program.  Also, food service is a need.
Toddler Time - Assistance in holding events where the parents stay and socialize with other parents/ gardians while thier toddlers socialize.
Support the Mission Team
Challenge to honor the memory of Lois Daniels who gave 1,000 boxes of cereal in a year’s time....We DID IT!!


Missions either big or small are oveseen by this committee throughout the year.

Volunteer to be on the Mission Team  ~   Donate funds, time or talents

Assist with food insecurity:
- Assist with Weekend Wellness project by being a packer or delivery person, or by donating food items needed for the project.

- Assist with the Food Pantry by meeting the families who pick up food, by organizing the shelves, by holding a seat on the Food Pantry board, and/or by unloading the delivery trucks

- Assist with the Emergency Food Cupboard by replentishing the shelves, by shopping for food products, by donating food, by shleving the inventory, by participating in afood drive, by buying food itms and putting them in the cupboard

- Assist with Summer Lunches for children at the library by returning coolers to Wayne ARC and picking up coolers with bag lunches

Assist with daily needs or emergency needs:
- Assist with the Food Pantry by participating in Revers Advent Calendar giving personal health items and cleaning supplies that can't be purchased with SNAP

- Assist in assembling Hygene Kits by purchasing items, by assembling the kits and by delivering the kits to organiations who will distribute  them 

- Assist Survivor Advocacy Center by informing others about the services, by purchasing hygene items needed

Assist with housing and home maintaining efforts:
- Assist the Good Neighbor Fund by donating money, by working on a fundaraiser, and by writing grants for funding

- Assist Family Promise by fixing a Moday Night Meal for the families, by participating in a fundraiser, by baking a pie for 'Summer Pie Sale' and by making a financial donation
Support the Fellowship Team
With joy and enthusiasm, this team is the heart of the many fun activities that foster fellowship on Sundays and beyond. 

Volunteer to be on the Fellowship Team

* Assist with meals: Potluck meals, Progressive Dinners, Picnics & Western Horizons
* Assist with Game nights - with group or table centered games where other churches in the community are invited
* Assist in planning external activities - Local sporting events
Support the Property Team
We come together to rake leaves in the fall.
The Property  Team is always busy maintaining the Church.  Helping hands are always welcome.

Finance Team
The Finance Team oversees the funding of all facets of the Church operations and staffing.  

Volunteer to be on the Finance Team

** Assist the team reaches out for the pledging / thithing of the congregation
** Assist the tean oversees the finances of the day-to-day operations of all the Teams as well as the Church as a whole.
** Assist the team oversees the investments
** Assist the team manages the endowments for the Church ensuring proper designations
** Assist the team performs audits and prepares the yearly budget
